Robert Parker (89/100): "The village white 2019 Bhilar Blanco was sourced from their biodynamic vineyards in the village of Elvillar. It's a blend of Viura, Garnacha Blanca and Malvasía Riojana with 13% alcohol and a low pH and notable acidity. All whites have some skin contact—in this case, seven days before fermentation started with natural native yeasts. It spent six months in 225-liter French oak barrels. This has a deeper golden color than previous vintages, through a longer maceration with the skins, and the character of the wine is also more "orange," with notes of quince and yellow fruit and fine tannins in the palate. It has more volume and ripe flavors in the finish. 9,000 bottles were filled in June 2020."
