Domaine Coffinet-Duvernay Chassagne-Montrachet 2016

Coffinet Duvernay Chassagne Montrachet Le Blanchots Dessous is a barrel-aged white wine made from the Chardonnay variety by the Coffinet Duvernay winery in the AOC Chassagne-Montrachet / Côte-d'Or denomination (Burgundy). Since 1860, the Coffinet family has dedicated themselves to cultivating vineyards in the town of Chassagne-Montrachet (Burgundy). However, after giving the 12 hectares away to each daughter, one of them, Laura Coffinet and her husband Philippe Duvernay, decided to make their own wines and use both of their surnames in the name. Coffinet Duvernay Chassagne Montrachet Le Blanchots Dessous comes from vines that grow in complex and deep soils composed of clay, limestone, iron and magnesium. Vineyards that is cultivated in a way that is respectful to the environment and where the grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes when they reach optimum ripeness. The Coffinet Duvernay Chassagne Montrachet Le Blanchots Dessous grapes are fermented in used oak barrels at a controlled temperature. Then the resulting wine is transferred to oak barrels to age for 16 months before being bottled. Coffinet Duvernay Chassagne Montrachet Le Blanchots Dessous is a complex and creamy white wine with a great terroir.
